The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, located in Southwest Wisconsin, is currently recruiting for a University Police Officer. This is a full-time position with full benefits. Hours and work schedule vary and are subject to change. Starting pay $21.00/hr.
This position will fully perform all law enforcement functions by enforcing local and state laws and University regulations on the UW-Platteville Campus under limited, general supervision; conduct general and investigations; performance of security and various other services to the University Community; attend required meetings and training programs; implement emergency procedures. This position will work in a wide variety of outdoor and indoor settings, including working in adverse weather conditions.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have completed a WI Department of Justice “Law Enforcement Recruit” academy and be eligible to receive certification by November 1, 2018.
Or already be certified by the WI Law Enforcement Standards Board as a Law Enforcement Officer or certified by another state as a Law Enforcement Officer, with the ability to pass the WI Law Enforcement Training and Standards Reciprocity Examination.
